12 Iran works to be screened at Tirana Int’l filmfest

Tirana Int'l Film Festival in Albania is to host 12 works by Iranian artists.

The 15th edition of the Tirana International Film Festival (TIFF) in Albania has scheduled to host 12 works by Iranian directors.

‘Motherhood’ directed by Roqieh Tavakkoli, ‘Animal’ by Bahman and Bahram Ark, Amir Gholami’s ‘Building No. 13’, ‘Retouch’ by Kaveh Mazaheri, ‘Bystander’ directed by Sheyda Kashi, Seyyed-Moslem Tabatabaei’s ‘Light Sight’, ‘Pet Man’ by Marzieh Abrar-Paydar, ‘The Servant’ directed by Farnoush Abedi and ‘Lunch Time’ by Alireza Qasemi are among the films to be screened at the festival.

Also three Iranian artists are scheduled to hold video art performances on the sidelines of the event. The performances are 'Finish' by Saeed Naqavian, 'Genesis' by Abtin Mozaffari and 'Label' by Amir Lashkari.

TIFF aims to create a cultural center of worldwide alternative and independent cinema in Albania as well as in the region. It is the first international film festival and the only one of its kind in Albania.

Launched in 2003, this extraordinary cultural event is the most important cinematic event in Balkans.

The 15th edition of the TIFF is slated for November 3-11, 2017.
